Provide an example of a transformational leader you eould consider a model of these authentic core behaviors. In what ways does this person demonstrates responsible leadership?
In terms of your own leadership practice, how would you prioritize the four core elements and why ?
The transformational leader is the one who provide individualized consideration and intellectual stimulation and are charismatic in nature. They bring broader level changes in organization or in business world, with the clear vision and objectives they are idealistic influencer, inspirational motivators and they lead by example. These leaders are acknowledged publicly for their achievements as they encourage change and possess out of the box thinking by focusing on ideas rather processes. They encourage subordinates on the value and importance of the effort, to achieve higher order goals and needs.
The four elements needed for the transformation to happen, such as – the leader should a role model (idealized influencer); should have ability to motivate and inspire followers (Inspirational motivators); showcase concern towards the emotions (feelings) and need of the follower (individual consideration); constantly challenge followers to be creative and come back with the fresh ideas (intellectual stimulator). Hence, the transformational leaders empower and motivate followers to achieve higher performance levels.
