The field of psychology is comprised of several perspective on the mind and behaviour. Some examples are the psychoanalytic/psychodynamic perspective the biological perspective and the socio-cultural perspective.

Difference between social congnitive perspective and the behavioural perspective

Behavioural perspective:

The behavioural perspective exclusively investigation overt behaviours (i.e., behaviours that can be directly observed).While some branches of this perspective acknowledge the existence of convert behaviours, they believe that these convert behaviours are best examined in overt terms (i.e.,stimulus, response)

Social - congnitive perspective:

The social congnitive perspective emphasize the importance of congnitive factors (e.g. attention, motivation,self efficacy) in explaining the mind and behaviour. It also believes that observational learning is one of the primary modes of learning.
