The Social Ecological Model (SEM) is not a theory; however, it is a perspective that allows public health professionals to recognize the dynamic interplay between many levels of influence that affect health behavior: intrapersonal, interpersonal, institutional, community, and societal.
For this week’s Discussion, consider the program goals, objectives, and interventions about Organ Donation. Explain which levels of influence were addressed by your interventions; then, identify which levels of influence were not addresses and discuss how you could address the remaining levels of influence for greater intervention effectiveness.
Organ donation is the process when a person allows an organ of their own to be removed and transplanted to another person,legally either by consent while the donar is alive or dead with assent of the kin.Organ donaation is important because donation help someones life.One organ and tissue donar can hep transform the lives more that ten people.This rees on donors and their families agreening to donate their organ and tissue after death.Organs that can be donated for transplantation include kidneys,heart,lungs,liver,small bowel and pancreas.Tissues that can be donated include eyes,heart valves,bone and skin,tendon,veins.
The primary objective is to promote awareness of life saving solid organ transplants.The secondary objective is to promote awarenes of tissue and life enhancing transplants.
many interventions can effectievly increase knowledge ,attitude and prompt family discussion about organ donation ,few interventions have actually demonstrated an increse in the number of individuals reggistering a commitment to organ donation..The health care proffessionals has a great role in organ donation,
It is the the nurse who facilitates the coping of patients and their familes,The nurse stay with the patients and help the family to understand the organ donation process,which includes keeping the brain dead patient's body functioning until the organ been collected.
