Explain the etiology of chronic and acute pain
CHRONIC PAIN
Any pain lasting longer than twelve can be classified as chronic pain.It can take a wide variety of forms.Chronic pain ranges from a dull ache to a sharp, it can be constant in nature or come and go seemingly at random. It's believed that chronic pain developes after nerves become damaged.the nerve damage makes pain more intense and long lasting.In these cases, treating the underlyiong injury may not resolve the chronic pain
CAUSES
ACUTE PAIN
Acute pain can be mild and last just a moment, or it might be severe and last for weeks or months.it goes away when there is no longer an underlying cause for the pain . Acute pain usually comes on suddenly and is caused by somerthing specific. It is sharp in quality.
Acute pain is a rapid response to disesase or injury.
