2. Assessment:
Acute pain:
1. Facial expressions are highly relevant to pain complaints.
2. Location of pain clearly defined with I assessment.
3. Usually sharp and sudden pain.
4. Pain usually reliever with treatment.
5. Associated with pathology.
Chronic pain:
1. Facial expressions arent relevant with pain complaints
2. Usually last for more than 3 months
3. We can assess the signals symptoms of depression
4. Not relieved by any therapy.
Keep in mind acute pain:
Acts pain:
1.Sharp and severe
2. May associate with organ damage
3. Associate with soft tissue injury
4.Need immediate medical attention
Chronic pai:
1. Incidious onset
2. Associate with depression
3. Need psychological counseling
4. Chronic pain occur with muscle pulling
