Answer: minorities means women, unsuccessful or can be said people who faced discrimination in society. Minorities could be black people who faced racism, women who faced discrimination.

During 1960s in American Society there was huge change .on those days women became more independent. Women became competitive. Whether it was home or office they were equal in all respect with that of men. But somehow they were facing racism at the job place or at home. As we all know women compare to men less paid for their jobs and many times faces discrimination. In 1960s many womens came forward and became famous like while lesly hit song like you don't owe me, father know best dominated television was very famous at that time. Many women also got nobel Prize for their tremendous work in different subjects. In 1963 equal pay legislature passed. But as we can conclude from our societal point of view that in today's time also women paid less compare to men. At that time youth were more concentrate on rock music pop music, arts etc

In 1960s there were extension of newspaper, media and novels etc. in that time beats were group who have been threaten by police for their work related to newspaper. Beats were the writers. Allen geinberg , William S , jack Kerouac on the road was well known literature.
