Solutions

Expert Solution

Answer: The racial and ethnic minorities in the united states have worse health outcomes as compared to whites. The causes of this disparity are

1. Lack of health insurance: Most of the minorities do not have the ability to pay for health insurance because of their low income and the income is mostly expended on the family needs. So, lack of insurance coverage leads to not able to afford the bill for a stay in the hospital for the treatment leads to increase the mortality rate among the minority

2. Lack of health education: Most of the minorities have low education and they do not know the importance of medical preventive measures from the disease. There is lack of awareness of the health education given by the organization or government. This leads to less taking care of self and family members. This group is prone to get the diseases and the morbidity rate is high among them.

3. Low income: Due to the low income they are not able to afford the bill of the hospital for the treatment leads to an increase the level of death because of untreated diseases. Many children and people are malnourished due to lack of nutritious food as they are not able to buy it.

4. Full-time work: In a family member. due to get the money, all the family member are working in full time. They do not have time to take care of self and the family member leads to development of diseases.
