Management Skill Development has become most necessary in the corporate world full of cut throat competition. There are constant changes in different techniques and newer methods are developed at a startling pace. Any manager who does not keep pace with the changing times is left befind while others march ahead.

The first thing that needs to be assessed is "Self Awareness" i.e. to understand and evaluate self on the kind of skill development training needed based on the work profile, future requirements, promotion avenues and/or job requirements. Many times organizations attempt to inculcate system enhancement or use of newer technology platforms that bring in "change" in the way company works. Employees normally do not welcome change as they are reluctant to move out of their comfort zones they are used to for long time. Those who change and adapt by way of self development move further while others who do not are left behind.

It is therefore essential to self assess and know which areas of skill development is most necessary for an employee or manager to effectively sustain and grow in the competitive world.
