Social media is necessary in the marketing of the comapny as it creates brand awareness, increases the consumer engagement etc and affects the consumer behavior. Consumers use different types of social media's to research regarding the company or their product which impacts their final decision. Various social media's used are as follows :
a. Blogs : Here, bloggers review the pros and cons of the products for their followers and general public. Many of the consumers firstly like to see the reviews of the product before buying it.
b. Discussion forums : On the discussion forums such as quora and reddit, other consumers who have already buyed or going to buy the product discuss abot the product.
c. Website : Generally, company website gives the consumer description of the product and their product line.
d. Social networking sites such as facebook, twitter etc : It is used to connect with the other people, also plays vitial role as company can put forward positive image of the product through such networking sites.
Social media's not just increases sales creates a brand awareness and loyalty from the consumers in today's marketplace. As potential buying decision is made through purchase funnel that is awareness, consideration and then purchase. Therefore, for marketers main objective especially with the social media is to get people talk positively and review the product so as to create a brand recognizion and make the purchase
