As we are aware that due to Covid situation majority of workforce in many organisations are working remotely and this time the process of performance appraisal is also going to be different because managers won't be able to discuss the goal achieved in person rather they will have to do the appraisal process through virtual mediums. The most critical part in appraisal process is to give the feedback to the subordinates. Therefore managers need to be given certain set of training in order to do the performance appraisal effectively and the employees are satisfied with the process.

The managers should be given behavioural train as how to do the performance appraisal while doing it remotely and how to share the feedback in a constructive way.
Second important aspect of training is to train on doing the appraisal process more objectively and maintaining the trust and transparency in the process. Managers need to be compassionate and must realise the kind of stress everyone is going through these times.
