Performance appraisal is odne basing on the work done by th eemployee during that period of time. For example if we take on equarter of the year, the human resource team will evaluate all the work doen by us and prepare a sheet where the employees are ranked from highest to lowest. This along with the code of conduct of the employees will be taken into consideration and the appraisals are made. This is beneficial for the management as they get the employees to work by motivating them and the employees also will get an opportunity to get appraisals with their performance rather than experience. But some employees who performed really well but could not attend work in a period of time due to some problem will lag in the ranking and might not get appraisal. This is a disadvantage of this system . We can rectify this system by considering the previous results while doing th eranking. This helps the employees who could not attend to get decent ranks as per their work . This can be done by human resources by maintaining perfect records and doing the ranking system time to time.

Having said that, there are several common evaluation errors in PA that may occur.
