1. The most stressful part I have experienced as a student is
balancing my desire for achieving good grades and wanting to make
friends have a good social life. I feel the need to put in more
effort to improve my grades, but, at the same time, cannot seem to
stop myself from going with other students even when my assignment
maybe due or an exam maybe nearby. This puts me under a lot of
mental pressure and I end up doing everything at the last minute,
therefore not performing at the best of my ability.
2. Until now, I have been managing this stress by not allowing
myself to think too much about it and talking to others for support
and consolation.
3. I expect myself to be more emotionally mature when I start
working and therefore adopt a more problem solving approach that
tackles the problem correctly. I would chalk out time for social
interactions but be strict about how much time I should spend for
working.
4. I do not have specific plans for managing my stress then, but I
do believe that seeking social support is the best strategy for
coping. I have found huge comfort from others when I am stressed
not only because of the emotional support they give but also
because of invaluable practical advice.
