The registered nurse is responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice and determine the appropriate delegation of the task to the team members,this is based on fundamental principles of protection of health. Registered nurse retains accountability for the decision to delegate appropriate task to team members and she/he is accountable for the patient outcome associated with nurse delegation provided the person to whom the task was delegated performed it as instructed

Individual power sources

1:Legitimate power-power that is given to a person based on their position eg:junior managers report to senior manager

2:Reward power:it is the ability that one dole out incentives in an organization eg:salary raises

3:Coercive power -fear of being punished for poor performance eg:demotion

4:Referent power-it is ability to influence others eg:if you are new to an organization ,you can start building social capital right away by saying 'yes'

5:Expert power-you have the ability to influence others because of recognized talent

Positive reinforcement result in earning or attaining something desirable,it help to increase self confidence and increase work place morale.

Difference between power and leadership :Power is person's ability to control activities of other individual and leadership is the ability to inspire people to follow your instructions voluntarily and manage the completion of work without exercising any form of force. Power was derived from leadership many instance power leads to leadership,leadership depends on power, a good leader is he/shewho has some form of power
