Suppose you are working in a networking company ‘A’. There is a company ‘B’ that is a competitor of your company. There is a big budget project called ‘Alpha’ that your company needs to get. However, the ‘Alpha’ team thinks both company ‘A’ and ‘B’ are suitable for handling the project. Therefore, in order to decide to which company they will give the project, they have come up with a simple task to evaluate their performance. After analyzing the situation, your boss has decided to assign you for this job. The task is basically that the ‘Alpha’ team will give you continuous signal and you are required to transform it to a discrete-time signal, however, they gave you some conditions that you must meet:

[4]

1. You will have an unlimited bandwidth. 2. Sensible to noises, so must regulate it properly. 3. The cost and implementation is not an issue. Which technique will you use and why?

Solutions

Expert Solution

working in network company A and company B that is compititor company

when its handling the Alpha(big budget project)

Alpha team is give you continous signals and you required to transform it to discrete time signal

TECHNIQUE:

PULSE CODE MODULATION ARE USED PCM is converts analog signals into digital signals

PCM SOME TECHIQUES ARE USED:

1.SAMPLING

2.QUANTIZATION

3.ENCODING

1.SAMPLING: analong signals is converted into discrete signals

2.QUANTIZATION: discrete signals is converts digital signals

3.ENCODING: digital signals is converts digital output

in above example project PCM TECHNIQUE IS USED

PCM TECHINIQUE USED WHEN ITS DESIGAN TO REQURIED HIGH BANDWIDTH AND INCREASES NOISE

WHY USED PCM TECHNIQUE:

ADVANTAGES:

1.CAPACITY INCREASES

2.GOOD PERFORMANCE

3.UNIFORM TRANSMISSION

4.CAMPATABILITY BETTER

THESE ARE ALL ADAVANTAGES TO USE PCM TECHNIQUE
