The case:
You work part-time evenings and weekends as a real estate salesperson. You also work full-time for an IT consulting group. When ordering business cards for your real estate business, you decided to include your full-time work email address. As a result, you frequently find yourself receiving and sending emails related to your real estate work from your computer at your IT consulting job. You try to limit this activity to your lunch hour, but there are often urgent messages that require an immediate reply. Lately the number of such emails is increasing. Sometimes you worry what would happen if your manager found out about this activity, but cutting off the flow of emails from your clients could have a serious impact on your ability to serve them and earn commissions. What should you do?

  • The main problem in this scenario is that the person using its official work mail as a mail for its part-time business. This aginst the rules and regulations of the company. Also, the person is getting lots of messages to his company mail id. Also, the person nervous about the manager, if the manger caught this procedure. On the other side, the person can not replay the mail which is important.

Identify alternative

  • The solutions for the first problem (Using official mail id)
    • Create one separate mail id for other businesses.
    • By use of an assistant, he/she can able to sort out the important mails and forward it to the person.
  • The solutions for the second problem(Give replay for immediate mails from the client)
    • By assisting an assistant during his/her office hours can able to rectify the problem.
    • If the assistant can not make a decision by him/herself then inform the person so that he/she can help.
    • With help of some monitoring softwares, it can able to sort out the emails which are important.
