For Human Resources Management Plan, Managing the team
What team building will be done? How will team and individual performance be evaluated? How will team members be allocated work? How are they to report on progress? How will performance be reviewed/managed? How will line managers be kept informed?
Since human resource management is managed effectively through teams, there can be different types of team building made by the organization.
It could be done based on the projects made by the department (project-based teams), teams made by the members themselves (self-made teams), the operational teams made by the functional department.
The appraisal factor is really important when considering the success and upliftment of an organization. In the case of a team, the appraisals are done to measure every individual's contribution to the team as a member and while considering the case of individual appraisal, it is the measuring of individual performance against certain standard performance.360 degree appraisal, MBO(Management By Objective), grading method, etc can be used to evaluate both the team as well a the individual performance.
The best way to allocate work to the team members is by understanding each member's skills and abilities. Every member is different in a team when it comes to the matter of skillset. Hence distributing works based on skillset and interest along with the priority would be useful in achieving a good result from the team performance overall.
The best way to report progress is through a weekly submission of reports on progress where the updates on target achieving and further plans to the future can be evaluated and can be rectified if any deviations occurred.
As said before, there are many methods for appraising the performance of a team. One of the effective methods is by MBO where all the actions made by the team would be monitored frequently to check whether the team is going in the right direction in achieving the result. Providing proper feedback is another important factor in the case of MBO.
The line managers should be properly given all kinds of instructions from the HR department as they are the people who are directly responsible to manage the employees and their functions. An open communication channel is important for a line manager to receive as well as give comments on the employee matters to and from the higher authority,
