How has the military culture expanded?
Military career is one of the toughest but proudest careers in one’s life. Military culture is very rigid and differs between different services. It’s got a unique culture where everything is restricted such as families, friends, entertainment, freedom of speech etc. It looks for a well disciplined and strict life and could be called to duty at any point of time. The posting could be anywhere in the world, any number of years and any adverse condition. What one should wear, eat and who one should talk are instructed because individuals cannot pick as they wish. Family members, especially if the family member is a single parent or single child, the separation becomes intolerable.
When they go for war, if they win they are not happy because they had to kill lots of strangers and if they fail it’s not worth because they risk their life. This Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is what is one of the most dangerous things that awaits most of the servicemen. Most people when they retire from the service do not receive enough compensation or job opportunities. This has caused more people from service committing suicide.
