We know that Samsung is a very big electronics company. In the last few years Samsung got the too much success. There are many reasons behind this success. One of the core reason is Samsung accepted the android platform for their mobiles. Most of the mobile customers like the android platform because this platform is easy to use, user friendly and gives more functions as compare to any other platform present in the market. Another reason is the marketing. Samsung spend heavy amount on the marketing of their products. This helps Samsung to make a reach to the customers and also helps customers to make aware about their new products. One of the most important reasons of Samsung success is that their corporate culture meets with the national culture. But what is the meaning of National culture? National culture means the set of the beliefs, norms and customs that exists in the people of the nation. According to this culture, every corporate make their corporate culture and try to get the best synchronization between these two because if there is no proper synchronization between these two then this can affects on the performance of the employees and can make a difference between the management thinking and employee thinking. So the corporate culture should match with the national culture to get the maximum output from the employees and also helps to give the healthy working environment to the employees. We know that it is a time of globalization and every company is trying to make presence at every part of the world. Sometimes we see that a company from their home country becomes failed to do business in other country. This happens because they failed to understand the national culture of that country and not developed their corporate culture according to it. So before starting a business in other country, the companies have to do some minor adjustment in their culture.
For example Samsung doing a good business in India because they become successful to synchronize their corporate environment with national environment. They started to manufacture the mobile phones in the country and advertise it as “Made in India” product. This action of the Samsung encourages people to buy the product which is made in India. Also they use the country’s local actors for the advertisement of their product so that people can understand that this company thinks about their values. Samsung also hire the local employees for their global offices so that they can create the belief in the employees that the company cares about them. Company also offers the holidays according to that nation, they also studied the demographic conditions of the people and launched the products according to it. For example most the Samsung phones are the mid range phones in India because they already studied that the people of India liked the mid range phones not the premium phones and as a result Samsung become successful to make their effective presence in Indian market. In every country Samsung applies the same formula and as a result we can see that their presence is in all over the world. This happens because they became successful to connect the national culture with corporate culture.
