Personality is a set of behaviour, emotional and cognitive characteristics that are the result of one’s biological and environmental factors. Although the base for the personality is hard wired in one’s genetics and parenting, one would build on that with the help of education, friends, employment, culture, religion etc. This would mean that personality is built over a period of time with the help of one’s environment because people are social animals and they would like to identify and attach themselves with their environment and social connections. Thus, I strongly believe that my personality is the result of conditioning, learning and cognition because I make strong connection to the events and people around me and learn the best possible behaviour by incorporating them into my personality.
