Think about your own personality, how you view yourself and how others might view you. Do you think your personality is the product of conditioning and learning or is it the product of cognitions? How would you explain your personality to a stranger?
Personality can be defined as set of behaviours, emotional patterns and cognition that are habitual and regular influenced by biological and environmental factors.
When it comes to viewing myself, I see myself as a spontaneous (behaviour), sensitive, empathetic(emotional patterns) and creative (cognition) person. People view me as a quirky, eccentric person who is an idealist.
Personality is both a product of conditioning and learning as well as product of cognition. Researchers have shown earlier how twins with similar biological factors when raised in different environments have different personalities. That said my personality is more so a product of cognition because though my environmental nurturing was conservative I have grown up to be a liberal person. Also my set of beliefs and principles are completely different from the ones my parents tried to inculcate in me.
I would explain my personality to a stranger as a fun, optimistic, creative person who loves life.
