Many of the barriers to good health care are not medical system problems. What is the role of the health care system in removing these barriers? What role does the government play?
A good health care system can remove the barriers to good health care with the following actions:
1) Health care system should be designed in such a way that it must be patient centric.
2) It should be care the barriers of communication to the health care related stakeholders.
3) It must be provided an integrated platform & approach to physicians, nurses, staffs, and other to clarify the doubts and challenges.
4) It must provide care as per the government's regulations and policies developed.
5) It formulates a policy which incentivises each members of the health care system.
6) It utilizes technology to deliver affordable care.
7) It maintains a holistic approach to deliver best quality care to patients.
Government role in delivering good health care:
Health care sector will be regulated by legal framework and laws are formulated and enacted by federal, state or local level governments. For example: US government has launched schemes like Medicaid or Medicare, affordable care act, OSHA Act, and many other laws. Government not only frame the laws but also administer the whole gamut of activities related health care systems. Government makes awareness to the citizens about preventive care diseases. Government makes a favourable environment in health care industry so that people can get cure in reduced cost and in a hassle free manner.
