Much of primate behavior is learned. Pick a non-human primate that you have been learning about in your readings. Do a little internet search on this primate, specifically looking for video footage in real time and/or articles about the primate's behavior.
Pick 2 behaviors to compare and contrast between "zoo"
behavior and that in the wild. Can you think of reasons that might
account for the differences in behavior? Write 2-3 paragraphs, and
submit this on Canvas.

1)1st behaviour observed day to day activity and motility:-
zoo enclosures are often rather predictable and easy, so zoo apes can be more sedentary than wild animals, and, like humans, more prone to obesity and other illnesses. In contrast, natural habitats are mechanically highly complex and unpredictable. Apes need constantly to make decisions about how to deal with their environment to keep safe and get food.
2) difference in social interaction
They engage in social interaction that is distinct from what they would naturally experience (e.g., in terms of group size, proximity, sex ratio, or hierarchy). Furthermore, they are prevented from performing many of their natural behaviors, such as in preparation for feeding, but are exposed to unnatural routines imposed by their carers including: being caught and handled, unfamiliar sounds (including ultrasonic noise from computers); lighting and temperature and even cage cleaning, which has been found to disrupt olfactory communication and increase aggressive behavior .The presence of abnormal behaviors is common in captive animals and is considered a direct result of living in these environments...
