How have the learning theories contributed to psychology and the study of human behavior?
The behaviorism, cognitivism and the constructivism make the basis of the theories of learning which are the concepts on how the acquired knowledge is absorbed and retained during learning. These theories are a framework which helps us to understand the effects of experiences on the human behavior. The psychology of a person is shaped and influenced based on the knowledge retained. Learning is a constant ongoing process which keeps altering the way a human interacts with the environment thus, influencing the thoughts of a person and thus, ultimately the human behavior. This means that both the internal as well as external stimuli and the human responses change with learning and the developing human personality. Self-awareness and realization are shaped in a way that it affects the behavior, the instincts, and the decisions made due to changes in the perception brought about by learning. Thus, the human behavior is molded by learning and experiences.
