Contingent play is a form of variable pay that is completely dependent on the measure of performance. That means the personnel get paid according to their contribution made. The factors expectancy, instrumentality, and valence in this contingent pay plan for my teammates are as follows:
Coaching refers to guiding the team members and helping them with job-related skills to help achieve their goals and objectives. When the team is on a contingent pay plan, coaching could prove beneficial to increase their productivity. By coaching my teammates, I could keep them motivated to work harder. I would tell them to keep their eyes on the prize because in such a pay plan, the greater the amount of work they put in, the greater will be their pay. I would also coach them to encourage them to take breaks to reduce work stress and relieve overworked employees because, in such a pay plan, there is a tendency for the members to set high aims that they think they can attain. I would also encourage them to set realistic goals.
