Can you avoid using fallacies in wrting by not using to much emotions or feeling in an essay?
Writing is one important form of communications that could influence millions of minds at one go. Thus it becomes very important to take care of certain fallacies in order to make the writing more authentic and appealing. The author should maintain objectivity in order to make certain claims universal. Just because someone believes and being emotional about a certain issue, doesn’t mean everyone should believe in it and accept it. Ad Populum is a type of fallacy that focuses on the emotional appeal rather than focusing on the truth. Most of the politicians today bring in emotional appeal in their messages in order to attract people. Another important fallacy people bring in the writing is the ideological reasoning which promotes, religious, cultural and racial ideologies to impact the feelings and emotions. Bandwagon or celebrity fallacy refers to the messages being communicated through celebrities as if to make things true. Finally, certain writings introduce the either/or fallacy by insisting single solution for a problem. If one becomes aware of these and overcome these, one could make their writing appealing to all and make it universe.
