1. Do you think an employee's productivity is affected by whether they are satisfied or unsatisfied as an employee? Explain your answer
2. Why may the goals of the organization differ within and among departments?
The productivity does get impacted due to satisfaction level of employee. As satisfaction level increases employees come up with innovative ideas and solutions to improvise the existing processes which finally leads to higher productivity. Satisfaction increases the motivation of employees to work.
In an organization each department plays a unique role to attain the common objective. Organization synchronizes various department in such manner that they facilitate each other in best manner possible. However, each department may have individual goals and tasks. Example: Production department may have set target for quality and productivity; Sales department may have target for achieving target sales; Finance department may have budgeting and planning target.
Each department may have different goals but the overall of aim organization is to synchronize the different goals in one and achieve the goal of the organization. Goal of organization may be maximizing wealth of shareholders but same cannot be seen in isolation with goals of each department which we mentioned above (production, sales and finance) hence, goals of organization differ within the different departments.
