1.      how do you think marble architecture and statues would be affected by acid rain? Support your answer with your observations and consider the states in the chemical equation.

Ans ) By acid rain all the white marbles loose their shine and whiteness the become yellow in colour . The monument which are made from limestone when comes in contact with sulphuric acid , sulfurous and nitric acid they dissolutes and fall apart particle by particle.

We can take the example of Taj mahal in india as it was so white in the books and when i virtually saw it the colour was yellowish. Similarly on gravestones we can see the affect of acid rain.

2SO₂ + O_{​​​​​​2} ----> 2SO₃

2SO₃ + H₂O ----> H₂SO_​​​4

This falls as acid rain.
