On Job Training (OJT) is that phase of an employee when the individual is assigned to learn while working, the objective in OJT is to make the employee accustomed with the process of work and how work is being done in the organization. This first feeling regarding job may cause stress in the mind of the employee because in most of the case the employee feels that he knows nothing about the job and may not fare well. There is also a reason where the employee may fail that he or she is being monitored from the very first day and any mistake may lead to a bad reputation. Such issues actually cause the sense of stress in employees and they might feel insecure.

In order to deal with it, there are various strategies firstly, the employee should make it clear that this is a learning phase and mistakes are quite inevitable in this phase which should not be considered as very much important. Secondly, this is just the first opportunity of work and the employee should be aware that there will other opportunities in the future as well. Thirdly, the individual should use this opportunity to learn and develop instead of trying to portray his or her skills because there will be opportunities to do that.
