In psychology, stress is a feeling of strain and pressure. Stress is a type of psychological pain. Small amounts of stress may be desired, beneficial, and even healthy. According to American Psychological Association (APA), there are 3 different types stress — acute stress, episodic acute stress, and chronic stress.
Eat a healthy diet. Well-nourished bodies are better prepared to cope with stress, so be mindful of what you eat. Start your day right with breakfast, and keep your energy up and your mind clear with balanced, nutritious meals throughout the day.
Here are few simple ways to relieve stress and anxiety.
1.Exercise. Exercise is one of the most important things you can do to combat stress. the benefits are strongest when you exercise regularly. People who exercise regularly are less likely to experience anxiety than those who don't exercise.
2.Reduce Your Caffeine Intake- High quantities of caffeine can increase stress and anxiety. However, people's sensitivity to caffeine can vary greatly.
3.Chew Gum- According to several studies, chewing gum may help you relax. It may also promote well-being and reduce stress.
4.Spend Time With Friends and Family- Having strong social ties may help you get through stressful times and lower your risk of anxiety.
5.Laugh- Find the humor in everyday life, spend time with funny friends or watch a comedy show to help relieve stress.
6.Take a Yoga Class- Yoga is widely used for stress reduction. It may help lower stress hormone levels and blood pressure.
7.Get More Sleep- A lack of sleep is a significant cause of stress. Unfortunately though, stress also interrupts our sleep as thoughts keep whirling through our heads, stopping us from relaxing enough to fall asleep.

1.Keep a positive attitude.
2.Be assertive instead of aggressive
3.Accept that there are events that you cannot control.
4.Learn and practice relaxation techniques; try meditation, yoga, or tai-chi.
5.Eat healthy, well-balanced meals.
6.Make time for hobbies and interests.
7.Seek out social support. Spend enough time with those you love.
