Should policy analysts try to deal with the fundamental causes of social problems such as crime, poverty, or homelessness, or aim instead for a more pragmatic and limited approach that may be more realistic, or more politically acceptable? Use your policy as an example and discuss the approach you think would be most effective.
The role of policy analysts is to interfere in public policy.
Policy analyst can work in multi disciplinary subjects. She/he
analyses and offer particular suggestions for policy issues. The
intervention of social analyst in fundamental social problems like
crime, poverty or homelessness is very important. She can directly
intervene in the social issues. These problems affect the society
with huge influence. On the other hand, the social analyst can
intervene little approach which is more realistic than the other
sense. If the little and realistic approach can be solved using
direct intervention and clear information about the particular
case.
Involving the second cases give more priority or experience to the
employee. She can give more complements and ample information in
this sense. For example, I am going to analyse about the
educational background of a student, who scored very less marks in
the exam. Actually this is a politically acceptable issue, because
education can induce the next generation. In between the study, the
analyst focuses on the economic and social background of the
student. Going through in depth study, the analyst can get proper
information about the whole family and the nearby society. The
analyst collects data through direct contact ad face to face
conversation. This leads to increase the personal relation between
student and the analyst.
