Yes, i agree with this claim because Meaningful feedback is very important part of performance evaluation or appraisal process. When manager set standards of performance for thier employees then those standards are communicated to employees so that they can know what they are expected to achieve? When employees show thier performance then those performance are measured against set performance standards. This helps manager to compare the results and take corrective action. This is the stage when meaningful feedback is required.

Today's organizations operate in very dynamic and competitive environment which wants to reduce thier business cost. Many organizations like Walmart, Mcdonalds, Amazon etc faces cost of employee turnover because they lack giving feedback to thier employees during performance appraisal. General motors uses performance method where they rank and terminate those employees who poor on ranking without any feedback.

Providing meaningful and constructive feedback helps employee's development and improve thier performance in future. When manager find an issue in performance of employee then they should not keept it to themselves or in file but let employees to know by feedback like face to face, mails or message etc. This will help employees to know what is their weak areas in the performance.

Meaningful feedback makes performance appraisal more productive as it is positive in nature, construct behavior of employees in more good ways.Managers need to make sure that when they provide feedback to thier employees should remain positive, be clear, inspiring and avoid any kind of negative language.

HR is very important asset of any company so HR manager should make sure that employees retenained in organization for longer period of time. This helps in giving an edge to company over rivals because meaningful feedback helps employees feel valued, worthy for the job and improve relationship with management.

Many managers will think that giving feedback is just waste of time and cost. But they do not know that Meaningful feedback is the best approach a manager can take to reinforce positive behavior, inspire/motivate employees to perform exceptionally and create strong culture within today's organizations.
