Acculturation is the process in which there would be a bringing about of change on the psychological, social as well as cultural aspect that would come up as there would be blending together of cultures taking place at the original level and the adopted level. This could be explained in the form of a direct change ghost comes in the culture of one group, brought about by another culture’s dominance through political conquests or through military conquest.
Habitudes could be identified as habits or attitudes found in leadership that would be forming images Woburn s person about the principles that a person believes which is a form of universal principle.
Today, with an increase in parental socialisation, there has been an increase in acculturation. For relations that are inter cultural, there is presence of various levels of adaptations.
Culture deficit theory states that the poor performance of a student is due to the socio economic status of a a family. According to this theory, teachers tend to blame the students for any of the underachievements. The teachers interact with parents from different races. Families tend to discuss the events that take place at school with the children, helping them at homework projects, . The deficit model puts forward a negative view stating that some of the cultural,h diverse families tend to lack resources.
Also, similarities occur among the culturally diverse families, and differences may also be there , which may differentiate on the view points as well as in the abilities that these families have for working with educators. Some families have the will to actively participate with the educators while some others feel intimated, as a result of differences in economic levels and social stigma. With acculturation, these families are able to convey their problems, with language development.
