Workforce mainly indicates characteristics of human like income or age.For example, if we consider a small government office,staff in that offfice have approximately same age of 60,means they are going to retire soon,so by thinking to replace them with new young people having good talent to do work in a smart way.

Short term strategy-Retention of key talent:

For an ageing workforce flexibility is the most attractive retention strategy.

we should focus on retaining employees with special expertise or hard to replace skills.Many options are available, they are:

1.flexible arrangements,

2.phased retirement,

3.pre-separation contracts.

Long term strategy-knowledge capture:

To spread the   technical expertise of retirees,local areas must consider the implementation of the knowledge management practices.Several options are available to replace knowledge to remaining employees,they are:

1.performance management reviews,

2.technology,

3.mentoring younger staff.

Trends in workforce:

1.By increasing the labor force participation of women India will better benifit from their growing youth population.

2.Japan's population is quickly shrinking and aging,per year Japan's population declined by a quarter of a million people.

3.In Europe,the working age population is very less than the retirement age population.

Means of measuring pesonality:

1.Objective tests:It is a self test witten by individuals by themselves without being influenced from others which measures individual characteristics.Self report measure is the most common objective test.It gives information about the participants ,themselves by question and answer format.In this test usually multiple choice or number scale will be used.

2.Projective tests:This test mainly based on Freudian psychology,these are mainly 2 types.They are:

   a.Rorschach test:In this test 10 inkblots were plotted on a paper and then fold the paper to make symmetrical design.Then

      is will show to the participants and asked them about what they saw and start asking questions,such as which part of       the inkblot was linked to each response.This test is used for testing person's personality characteristics and emotional functioning.

   b.Thermatic apperception test:This test consists of 30 cards which contain one blank card,in this test aslo they show them the pictures and ask them to tell stories about those pictures.This test is also used for testing peson's pesonaliy characteristics and emotional functioning.
