Answer- New Employees

Out of the all 4 options given New Employees will be mostly harmed from the Focal Performance Appraisal.

Focal Performance Appraisal is basically the scheduled reviews which are pre-scheduled within the organization on a common date, therefore, they are also known as common date reviews. The biggest drawback or disadvantage of this kind of appraisal is generally faced by the newly joined employees in the company because new employees will not be having a complete year of performance to be evaluated. They are only appraised on their performance till the date of focal review from the date of joining which does not highlights the potential of the new employee. The early days of joining of an employee are very crucial, since the employee joins in a new culture & it's very important for him to adjust & adapt to the new conditions & culture. Therefore, his performance which will be getting reviewed in focal performance review will not provide a genuine & real feedback to the higher management. To get an actual check on the performance of the new employees a different appraisal system should be implemented & used in the organization to get the actual performance data of the new employees.
