Crest is a Oral-care product brand which includes toothpaste and Crest products are Manufactured by P&G(Procter & Gamble) which is one of prestigious brand in toothpaste from many years.
Marketing Mix comprises of four strategies i.e product,price,place,promotion.Many changes have been made in crest marketing strategies to grow it which include customer experience,major investments.Let us discuss all four strategies one by one-:
1)Product Strategy-Crest have different variety of products for different audiences.Many brands and products are there in crest product strategy which includes toothpaste,mouthwash,brushes etc.The company have 4 production lines with it varies from toothpaste,whitestips,mouthwash and sensitivity. Let s discuss about the Whitestrips-:This was launched in 2006 and company made a new product line among 3 and the whitestrips were approves by the American dental association. As it was seen that consumers have problems with the issue of teeth whitening and this Crest 3D Whitestrips helps this teeth whitening kits to customer to white their teeth.
2)Pricing Strategy-Crest aims for low product prices when its launching it new product and get attracts it audience towards new product.The prices are set according to the market conditions and how much consumers are willing to spend and in setting the cost it also depend upon the competing brands to set new product prices lower than them.the cost pf 3D white-strips on the higher side is set for approx $7.
3)Place strategy-This aims how the products of the company to be distributed according to the demand and needs of the consumers and there should be more distribution of specific product where it have more demand.As of now,the head office of crest is in U.S and is very famous in Canada and USA and is expanding worldwide.The distribution of the products is controlled by the brand its parent company P&G,as in many European countries it is sold as Blend-A-med and in Asian countries it is sold as Oral-B and the distribution system is similar as all countries worldwide.
4)Promotion Strategy-The brand uses almost all medium to promote its products,the brand have high goodwill in the market and mostly publicity is done through articles in newspapers,dental magazines,TV commercial ads.For 3D whitestrips it also uses digital promotions which include google search trends when people search for issue of teeth whitening it is suggested in form of ads to them.
