The three leading electronic health record (EHR) systems are:
1. EPIC
Epic has been leading electronic health record (EHR) systems for very nearly fifty years. It was established in the year 1979 and centers around huge medicinal groups and inpatient. Knoxville Legal Aid Society has positioned Epic's electronic health record as the best in Knoxville Legal Aid Society for a long time in the biggest fragment. They are workers possessed and engineers drove with a product that is anything but difficult to utilize and execute into your association. Epic's product is essentially utilized in huge health frameworks, network emergency clinics, and scholastic medicinal focus.
2. CERNER
Cerner is as of now the main provider of Health IT arrangements and is the biggest supplier of frameworks for inpatient care. Cerner was established in the year 1979 and at present has around 26,000 workers universally. They bolster fifty-five plus claims to fame alongside the clinical, monetary and operational needs of medium and enormous associations.
3. ATHENAHEALTH
Athenahealth was established in the year 1997 and at present offers a cloud-based income cycle arrangement outfitted towards enormous, multi-doctor groups and emergency clinics. They offer training the executives and electronic health record arrangements under the RCM advertising. As a later contestant, athenahealth offers an increasingly current UI and some cloud-based capacities like access from any program.
The leading electronic health record (EHR) is Epic. Epic is the leader because they offer the closest version of an “All in One” system. If you sign up for Epic a hospital can get close to all of the information systems in one place. I had a discovery meeting with a health system last month and they’re going to Epic. I asked them to tell me why they chose Epic over Cerner. Their answer, “Because all of the other hospitals in the system were on Epic they thought they should be on Epic too.”
Just like all software, it isn’t the highest performing software that wins, in the end, it’s the software that gets adopted and used. Epic was brilliant at making the hospital administrators their biggest fan. They made them their fan by promising them an all in one system with very little need for integration into multiple systems.
You ask a doctor or nurse about their EHR in a hospital setting and they will tell you that they’re all mostly clunky and inefficient. Epic is clunky and inefficient. But that’s because hospital EHR systems were built for hospital administrators and not clinicians. Epic has been the leader in building software for administrators
