Imagine you are a manager facing the problem of not attracting enough high-quality employees to your organization. Would you attempt to solve this problem alone or by committee? Explain your reasoning. Also identify any drawbacks to your choice and how you might minimize those
Answer-- High-quality employees are the most efficient as well as effective employees for the organization. High-quality employees also contribute to the overall growth of the organization because high-quality employees are having a good quality of verbal and written communication, they have leadership skills, organizational skills, intelligence, etc. If as a manager of a company that is facing the problem of not attracting enough high-quality employees to my organization then I will choose to form a committee of most seniors and experienced employees of the companies to solve this problem. I choose the committee instead of solving this problem alone because with the help of committee members we will able to find out every minor and major issues of employees concerns, reasons for the distraction of the high-quality employees, the working environment of the company, a survey of existing employees of the organization, in the end, committee members will submit their report to company top officials and after this, the top executive can easily take decision with the complete research and analysis of the report.
The drawback of my choice of forming of the committee can be the differentiation in the thoughts of the committee members, as committee members can be from a different level of management so there are possible chances of conflicts in the thought of the members of the committee, this can be resultant in the different solution for the same problem. I can minimize the drawback by meeting with all members of the committee for the discussion over the final report of the committee, I can correct or eliminate points of reports with the mutual decision of the committee.
