In: Operations Management
SCENARIO - Imagine that you are an Administration Manager of several In-Office Employees and several Remote Virtual Employees. Both sets of employees use the same company owned Virtual Private Network (V.P.N.) when performing business assignments with clients. In-Office Employees use company computers and Remote Virtual Employees use their personal laptops.
TASK 1: Should the in-office employees and the remote virtual employees be held to the same "code of business ethics" when conducting work assignments.
TASK 2: Should one group of employees be given more freedom and privileges than the other employee group.

A Thumbs Up! Would be really helpful for me. If you have any questions, please leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Task 1:
Code of Business ethics should be the same for the in-office employees as well as for the remote virtual employees as the main motive is to achieve organizational goals no matter the employees are working in an office or working as virtual employees. The objectives should be fulfilled because, in the end, both the employees are representing the organization on their behalf so they both are not separate in any case. The minor difference between the in-office employees and the remote virtual employees is that in-office employees need to perform their work assignments while coming into the working place in the organization and the virtual employees are those employees who do the task while sitting in there home. But the main purpose is to achieve organizational objectives.
Task 2:
No, I don't think one group should be given more freedom and privileges than the other group as this will demotivate the other group of employees and it will directly affect the work of the organization. Giving privileges to one group of employees will not justify the ability of different employees of the organization. Both groups of the employee should be treated equally because the main motive of the organization is to achieve their organizational goals and giving them equal privileges and freedom will help them to work with more dedication and motivation and give their best in achieving organizational goals.
