Explain the conflict/Marxist perspective.
The conflict theory which was suggested by Karl Marx explains that the society is in a state of continuous conflict, and this conflict is because of the competition to achieve or get the resources which are limited. According to this perspective, those having wealth and power try to remain wealthy and powerful and for that they can take any possible steps, and to retain that power and wealth they mainly suppress the poor and the powerless people
In this theory a wide range of social events has been explained in this theory. These social events include poverty and wealth, violence and discrimination, wars and revolutions. Most of the important growths in history of mankind like democracy and civil rights are nothing but capitalistic efforts to regulate the common people and not a wish for social order. This theory spins around the notion of unequal circulation of supremacy and means in the society and the conflicts triggered due to this inequality.
This theory concentrated on the skirmish between two main classes. The bourgeoisie which is a small faction within the population denotes the members of society who hold the majority of the capital and power, use their supremacy to influence the proletariat who are considered working class or poor which are the major part representing the population.
