In the leadership theory there are five different levels which are as below:

  1. Position: The team members follow the leader just because the leader has been designated and they respect his position.
  2. Permission: The team members follow the leader because they believe and trust the leader.
  3. Production: Team members follow the leader by seeing the results of how effective a leader has been working towards the organization.
  4. People Development: Team members follow the leader because of the leader’s behaviour of giving importance to them and looking into their development.
  5. Pinnacle: Team members follow the leader through the respect and values the leader has gained. This is the final achievement for any good leader.

The following are the impacts of different levels of leadership have on employee attitudes, emotions, and behaviour:

  1. Position: In this level employee’s attitude and behaviour would be that they follow the leader due to compulsion. Thinking that the leader is the boss without any choice.
  2. Permission: In this level the employee’s attitude would be like they would want to follow the leader because they believe in the leader.
  3. Production: The attitude of the employees in this level would be employees would feel the pride of following a leader seeing his accomplishments and his effective works towards the organization.
  4. People Development: Employees loyalty would come up at this stage due to the leader being cooperative and emphasizing on employee development. Emotions would be commitment and satisfaction at work.
  5. Pinnacle: People behaviour would be very respectful and take their leaders as role models. A good attachment would be at this level since it comes out of values and trust.

Present Leadership Style:

My present leadership style would be Permission because it is just a short period since I have joined the organization. My team members follow me because they believe in me and my leadership style being charismatic style they feel the fun at work.

Desired Leadership Style:

My desired level would be to reach the Pinnacle where I would grow with the organization and also grow my people by looking into their self and career development.
