Majorly, there are four types of fats- Saturated fat (in deep-fried food, coconut etc.), PolyUnsaturated Fat (in walnut, flax seeds etc.) , Monosaturated fat (avacados, rapeseeds etc) and trans fat (patries, biscuits etc)

Obviously, each of them have different impacts on our body.

Saturated fat or the unhealthy fat contains LDL or bad cholestrol which may give rise to heart diseases. They also increase blood pressure and make it likely to clot.

Polyunsaturated fatty acids, Omega 3 particularly helps lower the LDL levels, blood pressure and probability of blood clotting. However, they may also lower HDL or good cholestrol levels.

Monosaturated fat is considered to be the healthiest, which not only lowers LDL, but also increases HDL. It is found to increase insui sensitivity and decrease cancer and heart disease risk.

Trans fat- Rminant (natural) trans fat is a healthy option. The industrial one is really harmful (and sometimes toxic) and links to the causes of type II diabetes, heart diseases, obesity etc.

Hope it helped.
