Impact of Goals

Goals can motivate an employee to achieve any task. A clear and relevant goal can develop the idea of work and can lead to the success and Achievement. Goals have high impact on our behavior such as.

Sensible Expectation- If an employee has a goal on his mind, his expectation will be relevant and sensible with his goal. He will be able to understand what he exactly expecting and how to full fill his expectation. Having goals in life can increase our motivation because we are now able to imagining what actually we are expecting.

Sense of principles- When employees are having any goals, they also can have a sense of principles that can lead to the achievement of the Goal. Employees now can understand the actual sense of purpose. This sense is purpose can change his behavior in the work place and also can increase his work productivity.

Being Responsible- Employees with specific goals are more responsible in their work. Not only that, their behavior seems more responsible for those specific goals.

Being Motivated- Goals can lead to the motivation. An employee with specific goals always feels motivated about his wok. This people are also motivating for others. These goals have a strong impact on someone’s motivating behaviors or personality.

Types of goals

There are three types of Goals that can lead to the highest level of performance. These goals are Outcomes Goals, Performance Goal and Process Goals.

Why?

Outcomes Goal- Outcomes goal is generally a single goal to achieve something. Outcomes goals are resulting winning in any task. This goal is highly motivating and can increase the highest level of performance because this goal focused only on the result.

As example An employee can set a negative mindset for achieving his job.

Performance Goal - A performance goal is the ultimate standard of the performance which an employee wants to achieve. This goal is related with the performance plans which are stated by the employees. Performance goal can lead to the highest level of performance because setting a performance standard or planning will motivate the employees to achieve the Outcomes goal.

Process Goal - Process goal is also very important for the highest level of performance because Process goals provides support to the Performance goals. Process goal gives something to focus and also helps to focus on the small things for achieving the highest success.

Conclusion- All these goals are related to each other’s and can help to achieve highest level of performance in the work place.
