1. Leadership guru Warren Bennis said, “Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.” What does this statement mean to you?
2. If you are to be successful at "enlisting others," how will you connect to what is meaningful to others on your team?
1. “Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality” this according to my point of view dictates the whole purpose of leadership. In simple terms, this means that it is the job of the leader to set the goals in place which would allow the company to realize its vision, at the same time, providing direction as well as motivation to the employees, to be able to successfully attain a state where they can achieve the best possible results that are possible in any scenario.
2. Successful enlisting would depend on the goals of the situational demand. The team may require certain elements which would be useful for their own self-interest but not align with the goals and the scope of the organization as a whole, it is, therefore, necessary for a company to be able to maintain a state where the team’s goals are realized, matched with the goal of the organization and then brought into effect at the time of the enlisting. In this way, it will satisfy both the recruitment as well as the need and become the best possible solution for any given situation.
