Discovery and Analysis of Work by Published Organizational Theorists on the Topic Organizational Culture
Investigate the organizational management issue or question by consulting at least 5 authoritative and relevant sources of information. The sources of information about the issue or question must be directly relevant to the topic (as described in the introduction) and must be authoritative (from peer reviewed sources). Non scholarly literature may be used but only above and beyond the minimum number of scholarly sources,
Present a well-rounded representative sample of authoritative perspectives on the organizational management issue or question. Differing theorists AND points of view should be represented. Putting the issue or question into a contextual relationship with other organizational theory concepts is especially important.
Look at the issue through the lens of a particular instance such as an organizational case study. Apply the theory to a particular organizational issue or setting
Ans- The organisational culture is the psychological environment of an organisation based on beliefs, perceptions and values inbuilt inside the organisation.
The authoritative perspectives on the organizational management issue can be described as follows:-
1). An example if an organisation have to implement certain goals like sales target in a month. In this case authoritative style of management is required from middle management to implement the ideas and push the frontline team for achievement of sales target.
2). There are different means through which authoritative management can be implemented like bureaucratic power, coercion power and expertpower.
3). If in a very short span of time, certain system needs to be
implemented.
For example: Implementation of automation for a manual process
across organisation. Then in this case authoritative kind of
leadership and management is required to push the team and
implement the idea across organisation.
