What goals do you have to improve your communication processes?
These are the goals I have set to improve my communication
process.
Listening empathetically – I will listen empathetically to
understand both the message and the emotion from the sender. This
will help me answer and react better without jumping into
conclusions when I speak.
Recognising non-verbal cues – I will look closely for the gestures,
eye contact and postures of the speaker in order to understand the
intentions of the speaker well. So I will be able to take a better
stand.
Thinking before answering – I will think twice and speak to make
sure I’m making sense to my listener. I will analyse whatever I’m
going to speak for a better impact. This will also help me convince
my listeners.
Noting down - I’ll note down whatever I want to communicate, so
that I won’t miss out anything important to make the communication
process complete.
Unbiased and non-prejudiced – I’ll receive all my communication
unbiased and non-prejudiced so that I’ll be open to receive the
entire communication, otherwise, I’ll go for selective attention
which is not good.
