Expert Solution

Broken Window policing is about patrolling the neighbourhood (residential areas) for any troublesome behaviours from the residents. For example, people with more aggression and anger disorders will end up in beating the family members or involve in violent behaviours with the neighbours. These people are booked and remedial measures are suggested to prevent major disturbance and violence.

Zero Tolerance Policing is about police patrolling the urban areas (inner city) to sense any deterrent behaviours such as, vandalizing, drinking in public places and behaving indecently. This is said to prevent minor crimes from occurring so that it won’t end up in a bigger crime.

Although, both the theories are said to be for the good of the nation, there is an accusation that police officers engage racial discrimination by arresting mostly the non-white people. These arm thepolice officers with search anyone at any time causing huge nuisance to the public because when people have to waste lots of time waiting for the other person to be checked and they feel put down in front of everyone, saying that the police have mistreated them. The racial tensions also spread because of the discrimination.
