The contrast in display can be achieved by number of ways like texture , color , line etc. The simple of meaning of contrast in display is the differences or variations in display.

If we talk about texture then, there is conclusion after many experiments that monocular adaptation to differences in texture contrast produces a primarily monocular aftereffect of apparent contrast. The binocular component of the apparent contrast is produced by adaptation to differences in texture density .

Example : contrast in display of a flower , by using its texture.

The contrast in display can easily be achieved by using color variation. The color variation provides differences in visualisation and its aftereffect adaptations.
