Transactional model of change focuses on behvaiour changes and involves following stages ascendingly. I can relate this to famous bollywood movie - Devdas which is based on novel, where the hero becomes drunkard in the end when his girlfriend marries somebody else.

a) Precontemplation - Here a person is not ready for the change. The reasons can be lack of motivation or resistance to change. Devdas gets lost when his girl friend marries, he leaves his home, job etc and becomes unemployed but does not think of drinking.

b) Contemplation - A person thinks of undergoing through changes, his/her mind started thinking of benefit of changes. Here devdas meets chunnilal who tells him that alcohol can make you forget many things

c) Preparation - Here a person thinks of undertaking change very soon. Devdas touches alcohol bottle and listens to advantages of alcohol.

d) Action - A person undergoes through change - Devdas starts drinking

e) Maintanance and relapse - Here a person carries out the action taken frequetly. Evereyday drinking makes Devdas an alohol addict person.
