Your text has an interesting quote in LO11-3 that says "IQ gets you hired, EQ gets you promoted." Discuss whether you find this statement to be true or not.
IQ or intelligence quotient represents how well an individual
shows the necessary capabilities to make use of the skills they
possess. This includes all the necessary tidbits like
qualifications, specific and technical skills, etc. an individual
needs to possess a good amount of IQ for the initial recruiters to
consider them appropriate for the position being offered and the
degree of work they need to pee from. While our technical skills
and superiority is one way we can progress in our careers, the fact
that without a network, the support of poor supervisors, and the
right connection with the key influential people in the company,
the process may drag out longer than it has. “It pays to be nice
and always have a smile while working”, is not just applicable, it
represents the entirety of the solution we need to trigger the
necessary mechanisms for our success. Not only does it increase our
likelihood to impress others, it makes everybody trust us more,
building a rapport, allowing us the necessary outlook to the ask
for more challenging work, showing both out skills as a hard worker
and also, our ability to maintain a high degree of motivation and
morale, working well with clothes and eventually, being given a
leadership position.
