Problem solving is an important life skill. Almost every employer seeks this skill in it's employee.

Basic steps of problem solving are:-

1.Defining of problem - The very first step in problem solving is to define the problem. What is the problem which is to be solved? Defining of problem also meant establishment of goal, which we want to achieve by solving the problem.

Problem can be defined by researching and analyzing. For explamle-:

There is a problem of something went wrong. So here our first step should be to research and analyze about the problem and define it. We need to find out the cause of the problem and understand it fully. It thereby establishes goal which need to be achieved.

2. Possible solutions :- The next step is to identify the possible solutions of the problem. We need to put our brain on work to identify the possible solutions of it. A list should be created about the possible solutions. It will make easier to solve the problem. Communication of possible solutions with other members should be done to get their feedback.

for example:- After defining the problem, we now have to think of possible solutions of it. As said earlier, a list should be created about the possible solutions. And now the possible solution must be communicated with others in order to achieve our goal.

3. Decide the solution :- Ultimately, we will have to make a decision about the possible solutions of the problem. The ideal solution must be effective, efficient and fewest side effects.

for example:- When the possible solutions of the problem communicated with other members, now comes the decision to choose from the list of solutions. The decision about which plan to implement. Decision making skill must be strong in this case.

4. Implementation of solution:- The next step is to implement the chosen solution. Implementation of solution must be perfectly planned and executed. There should be no error while implementing the solution.

for example:- Now, the chosen decision is implemented with perfect planning and execution. Implementation serves as a solution of the problem.

5. Reviewing the results:- This is the most important step of problem solving. Reviewing the results helps us in knowing the impact of solution towards the problem. We will get to know what worked for us and what didn't.

for example:- Finally, we will review our solution to know the results of the implementation. It will tell us whether our chosen solution was correct or not. We will get to know about where we went wrong and helps us in not repeating the mistake in future.
